Mountain moods
Catching the mountain just before it disappeared behind a veil of clouds, this photo posed a challenge in its own right. Different in mood, the invading white breaks the scene in parts and fragments the picture, leaving the individual scenes almost disconnected.

Staying with the theme
How do you move on from a peak? On a mountain, there is only one way to continue, it's to back down. On a stage it's the moment the curtain closes, you take off the make up and the costume. And in photography? I decided to stay with the theme and to find out if I can work as elegantly with other shots that might not be that dramatic to start with and might therefore pose a bigger challenge to the craft.

Following the masters
Inspired by Ansel Adams and Sebastião Salgado's current exhibition, I had to try my hands on dramatic black & white landscapes to see where this new experience takes me...

Street photography
Late afternoon commute at London Bridge. What happens if I'd point the camera and shoot randomly at a crowd coming towards me on a busy afternoon at London Bridge? Nobody seemed to care. And I thought it was an intriguing and liberating experience.

Change of season
Back in the park, at 'my spot' to note how the seasons change the environment and it's visual, the light, shade and colours. And how this change impacts on people.

End of day
Urban structures at sunset. It's the geometry and light notion of sunset that first attracted me to the scene. It felt like such a strong contrast to the awakening urban nature I have been concentrating on for the past weeks. And yet, there was this definite glow, that indicated the setting of a warm day.

Urban wildlife
Got ya! This is the first time I caught a bumble bee in flight, and, honestly, I feel a bit proud of this shot.

Shoes
Inspired by my friends comment about shoes, I became interested in this new perspective. A rather different angle to look at, its amazing how much shoes reveal about a person.

Light and shade
Staying with the theme of shade and light reflections, this was one picture I could not miss. My attraction was how the light reflections highlighted the moving water, giving the place a hint of mystery, a stage for the mind to make up its own story...

Night study
I love experimenting with night photography. Catching the mood of an evening, the darkness bringing its very own feel to the environment. This photo was taken in Venice, after a long rainy day. And what stood out for me was the stillness, an almost total absence of sound and movement.

Light
This is one of my experiments of taking a 'close up'. Sitting in my garden, with the light just in the right spot, I could not resist this one. For me insects and flowers have a kind of fascination I find hard to explain and fun to take photos of.
