Black and white

Back in the streets of London, I've taken my little project onto the platform and into the train. To me this environment had a similar feel to the pedestrianised areas and tunnels - anonymous, timeless and lonely. On our own, on our way, without looking much around or connecting to the world around us.

From that angle, it almost looks like a mental asylum, with each person isolated into his or her on little spot. It's chilling.

"Anonymous, timeless and lonely" = what a good description. It could be any city.

Terry said it ... no sense in repeating.

Hmmm actually I find railways interesting, I am wearing my anorak, but London Tubes are indeed cold, dead places at times. The looney always sat next to me.....

WoW the second photo is so telling. Isolation...set apart. Black and white is the perfect touch.

You know I do appreciate these photos. And no, I'm not going to make a reference to something regarding "metro"! :)

It's odd. You know it's a train, and yet it feels institutional instead, particularly that second shot.
