London by night from the air. I thought this photo fitted well with the holiday season, imagining people visiting and celebrating all over town.

Night photography

As the days grow gloomier and shorter, night photography seems like a very good option. With the lighting going on in the city, it gives me a brighter outlook on the dark season.

Overlooking London, Vertigo 42 was one of the must-have-dones for me. Going up on a Saturday in winter, it was dark by 17.30 and the view over London was amazing. There is something amazing about night photography. Givng the world we know sparkle and a sense of irreality, as if it was a fairy tale.

A wheel in the sky

Is it a wheel? What do you see when you look at this picture?
Exploring the meaning of angles and perspective,  I like how the photo changes its meaning. The closer I get, the more we are left to wonder. Loosing its context, the wheel seems a pattern of lines and shades. The only reference to its size are the leaves, indicating we are looking at something big.

London Eye

I'm fascinated with the London Eye. How this huge wheel is held up into the sky. Coming back every week, I explore the 'wheel' from different angels, mapping the different perspectives, noticing how 'the thing' relates to its environment, fascinated by the different ways the steel has been worked to serve the different purposes.

London skies

The many different patterns clouds 'paint' on the London sky does not cease to amaze me. On this occasion the sky had a soft pattern of light shades and smooth clouds which contrasted with the sharp lines and strength of the steel structure.
