Just another sunset

Out and into the sea, this was a rare delight. I was at the right time at the right place when the sun settled behind the ocean near a remote beach in Costa Rica.

Just another sunset

This is just another sunset over London. It often amazes me how, in the midst of grey and darkness, the sky suddenly burst into light and colour.

Just another sunset

Staying with the theme of sunsets, this is a sunset in Brighton. And come to think of it, some of the most amazing sunsets I have ever photographed were in England.

Just another sunset

How many of us do not pick up their camera to photograph a sunset? The other day my friend and I were musing what it would be like to have a group meeting and everybody would bring a selection of their sunset photos. Inspired by the thought I decided to venture on a little series about sunsets.

Romantic London

London, like Rio de Janeiro, is a city of many faces and one I don't get tired of photographing and studying from all angles. This one of my attempts to explore the romantic, timeless aspects of London.

End of day

Urban structures at sunset. It's the geometry and light notion of sunset that first attracted me to the scene. Little Souvenirs

Ipanema beach at the end of day. I love this time of the day when the last bits of sunlight creep across the mountain and illuminate the haze washed in from the sea. I love walking along the beach at this time of the day and to be part of the last activities before night falls.

Venice

Spending three days in Venice gave me the opportunity to explore a city with streets made of water. As the sun was setting, I could not resist catching the gondola against the light mesmerized by the sparkle of the water creating a timeless silhouette.

Over the clouds

When I took the photo I had not realized that this view was such a classic for me. I love sitting by the window in an air-plane, looking at the space, change of clouds and skies. Such peace and endlessness.

London sunset

Back at my per-weekly visit to Southbank, I could not believe my luck when I noticed that the winter sun was setting in glorious orange. I think there is something magic about visiting the same place in town on a regular basis, just to see how different it looks each time.

Before dark

London, Nov 2012. The moment when the darkness sets in and the electrical lights come on. The vision seems a bit blurred, the moment of change between day and night ...

London

October 2012. Westminster in the light of the sun setting. Celebrating the city. This is one of these photos when I was in the right place at the right time and the inspiration came in the light of the moment.
