London, October 2012. After seeing Paul Benney's Night Paintings at Somerset House I felt inspired to experiment with the perspective of focus to work between the abstract and the concrete, showing idea and reality at the same time.

Wow! I really love these photos. They are indeed between the abstract and the concrete, and they remind me of impressionist paintings. I especially like the darkness, contrasted with the brilliant colours from the traffic lights. I live in Vancouver where it rains frequently, so I wouldn't normally think about bringing my camera outside in the rain. These photos inspire me to do some photographing of my own - - even in the rain. Thanks, Angelika, for sharing!
