London by night

Overlooking London, Vertigo 42 was one of the must-have-dones for me. Going up on a Saturday in winter, it was dark by 17.30 and the view over London was amazing. There is something amazing about night photography. Givng the world we know sparkle and a sense of irreality, as if it was a fairy tale.

Lights like strings of jewels. Inspiring.

These are spectacular! Vertigo 42 must be a tall building, right? I'd probably be hesitant as I don't much like heights, but sometimes photo opportunities help me overcome that phobia.

The lights are always great with digital night photography, as you've proven here. These would make wonderful postcards.

Uh, oh, I just realized I could click the link and find about Vertigo 42 for myself which I shall do forthwith! :)

Nighttime photography automatically hides some of the ugliness we might otherwise see during the day.
