Change of Season

Two months to go until I complete one year of documenting how the change of season affects the park and its visitors. As London prepares for yet another winter, nature and people change their 'dress'. And with the season there is a visable change in light and colour, as I could notice this morning when I had to turn up the ISO considerably to make sure I could still capture the scene as my eyes saw it.

Change of season

Back in London it's time to document the change of season. This little project has been going since January when I took the first photo down this park walk inspired by the winter mood of the day. Since I have been visiting the same spot once a month to document how the seasons affect environment and people as both nature and humans change their 'coats' and adapt to the changes in weather and temperature.

Going light

London, Nov 2012. Inspired by a photo competition I saw in Fotohits' October edition, and getting slightly fed up with that dull pre-winter weather, I thought I'll have a go at lightening things up.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam, Nov 2012. Looking at autumn colours from another angle in another city. Amsterdam seemed to come alive with the warm tone of autumn leaves and sun giving the city a bit of a golden glimmer.

Fall

London, Nov 2012. Standing under the tree and with the wind catching the leaves, it looked as if the leaves were coming towards me and I suddendly realized why autumn was called 'Fall'.

Change of season

London, Nov 2012. Inspired by a gloriously cold sunny morning, I looked for some inspiration amongst the ordinary, every day scenery around me.

Autumn leaves

London, October 2012. Autumn is all around us and since the weather has not quite invited us to be out and about, following my annual ritual to walk amongst the colourful change of leave has been somewhat of a challenge. Yet, despite the weather, I find that this season has something magical.
