Sunny afternoon in London

We had decided to meet up at Somerset House and look at some of their current exhibitions when we were surprised by a very sunny afternoon. Quick to change our plans, we decided to sit in the yard and muse about life instead. This is one of several images that composed itself before my camera that afternoon.

Love it! I just came in from a run in 90-degree weather and would have loved a dash through those fountains. :-)

I love the glow of this image and the tenderness of the mother holding her child's hand. Inspiring.

One of the loveliest of all places in London, especially as the weather warms - that water looks especially inviting! (I do wonder sometimes if the beauty in decay is also just our interpretation more than anything...)
